Sir, - I am glad to say that the Irish presence in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is not confined to a "comic invasion" (Paddy Woodworth, Straight from the Arts). There are two productions of Oscar Wilde's Picture of Dorian Gray, one of his Salome, and one of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Has any other Irish playwright ever achieved this, I wonder? I hope to see some coverage of them. - Yours, etc.,
The Oscar Wilde Autumn School,
Bray, Co Wicklow.
