Madam, – There are now many “hind-sight” economists in Fine Gael and Labour. To prove themselves, would someone in either party point to just one proposal in Dáil Éireann from Fine Gael or Labour in the past 10 years which called for a cut in public spending?
That’s easy! There are none. Perhaps someone would now try to add the number of proposals from Fine Gael and Labour to increase public spending in that same 10-year period.
The electorate will know them by their deeds and will not be fooled by their useless words and protestations now. – Yours, etc,
