Madam, - Oh no, not again. How many more times will we have to read the same old canard about Bertie being "the most skilful, the most cunning, blah blah blah" (June 21st), according to the old Don himself.
CJH denied ever saying any such thing and denied it in such a way that left one in no doubt that this was certainly not his opinion.
I and many others heard him on radio many years ago asserting that this quote was a fiction coming from some journalist's fertile imagination.
Once and for all could we bury this myth. For some people Bertie has only to break wind for them to resurrect this fable. - Yours, etc,
