Sir, - I was very pleased with the strong anti-racist line adopted by your Editorial of July 10th. I lived in the UK for a number of years and witnessed at first hand the efforts of certain racist groups to stir trouble among ethnic groups.
The determination of the National Front to cause mayham in Bradford is sickening. The vast majority of people living in Britain, as in Ireland, are not racist. Yet the will of the majority is not of concern to racist groups and I urge all of those who wish to live in a society where differences of colour, religion or background are respected to stand up to racism and prejudice in all its forms.
Let us not forget that evil conquers only when good people do nothing. - Yours, etc.,
Andrew O'Callaghan, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.
