Madam, – An interesting fact we discovered in our Civic Social and Political Education class is that most of the female Ministers are called Mary: Mary Coughlan, Mary Harney, Mary Hanafin, Mary White. We note also President Mary McAleese and her predecessor Mary Robinson. In the Seanad, we have Senator Mary O’Rourke and in the EU Máire Geoghegan Quinn. – Yours, etc.
