Sir, - As a Dutchmen with strong Irish ties I wish to congratulate the Irish soccer team for its win last Saturday.
If only it had not been Ireland versus the Netherlands! I had hoped that the armies in green and orange could go through together to meet again in Japan or Korea next year. We are now where Ireland was in 1995.
