Sir, - Mrs Grove-Annesley (August 6th) described the difficulties of travelling to Heuston Station from Dun Laoghaire ferry terminal early in the morning. A number of buses to the city centre pass along George's Street in Dun Laoghaire at about 6 a.m. (well before the DART begins to run). From the city centre, more Dublin Buses leave for various destinations in the suburbs at around 6.30 a.m., so it is possible to reach Heuston from Dun Laoghaire by public transport for a 7.30 a.m. train.
However it seems that the only way for the uninitiated to know of this inexpensive and convenient service is to be psychic, as - yet again! - there are no signs for the benefit of ferry passengers. - Yours, etc.,
Anne-Marie McGauran,
