Sir, - I believe there is great concern about the starvation of cats, foxes and birds because of the introduction of enclosed "wheelie bins" to Dublin. These creatures previously had excess to the contents of conventional bins and survived on household scraps. May I suggest that anyone concerned about theirfate remove the lid from their new bin? - Yours, etc.,
