Sir, - I am surprised at the lack of concern shown by the people who run the National Lottery at the poor sales of scratch-cards in the Dublin area.
The evidence is clear if one watches "Winning Streak" for any length of time. Over a significant period, the drawing of names will reflect where tickets have been sold. Over the past season, out of every ten drawn, only one or, rarely, two tickets have come from the Dublin area. Since one-third of the population lives in the Dublin area, one would expect it to be represented by three, or perhaps four, drawings at time. - Yours, etc.,
Hugo Duffy, Killester, Dublin 5.
