Madam, - Your Editorial of November 4th regarding university funding is well timed. The Conference of Heads of Irish Universities is right to be worried about budgetary cuts at third level.
But surely there is an obvious solution to the financial problem: close down all universities and offer all courses on-line from an office in Dublin. - Yours, etc.,
