Sir, - Don't blame advertising, the Government, the teachers or indeed the economy for the present wave of teenage binge drinking. Instead, blame the parents who have given in to their children's every whim, allowing no criticism when their little darlings are unruly, or correction when they litter streets and damage public property. Nothing shapes a young life better than that well-tested and very successful remedy of old, an occasional kick up the rectum. - Yours, etc.,
B. Newman, Greenfields, Limerick.
