As wedding season kicks off, Škoda's latest installment of their 'Made For Ireland' mini-documentary series meets Denis Murphy, of Abana Jewellers. With over 40 years' experience in the jewellery industry, Denis is a wedding ring specialist, who creates bespoke diamond engagement and wedding rings.
Each bespoke ring created by Abana is designed by Denis and the customer, with the aim of getting the client's dream ring, from initial concept, to the finished product. Extensive planning which includes drawings, 3D designs and 3D-printed prototypes, means customers know exactly what their ring will look like before the process begins.
In this, the third instalment of the Made For Ireland series, Denis explains the processes involved in creating bespoke diamond rings and how modern technology has helped shape his business. Škoda approach creating car design the same as crafting jewellery - a truly timeless piece needs defined edges, elegant lines, and crystalline structure.
