The North West Golfing Alliance starts its 31st season on Saturday week at Letterkenny golf club - fresh from its hosting of the Donegal Irish Ladies Open. The alliance will make its own piece of history this year when Seamus McBriarty takes over the captaincy. McBriarty, from the North West club, will become the first professional to hold the office of captain.
