WATERFORD SHC SEMI-FINAL/Abbeyside 2-15 Ballyduff Upper 3-12:A SENSATIONAL second half comeback from Abbeyside earned them a second chance of reaching the final following a thrilling draw with county champions Ballyduff Upper at Fraher Field, Dungarvan, yesterday. But the draw has now caused big headaches for county officials.
The county board will be hoping they can play the final before the start of the Munster club championship and that there are no more draws between now and then.
With De La Salle safely into the final, it looked for long periods as if they would be up against Ballyduff Upper who were inspired by Pa Kearney's three goals, but the Villagers ground out a deserved draw. Séamus Hannon sent over the leveller deep into injury time, and Abbeyside despite shooting 17 wides, earned another day out.
