`After the Celtic Tiger, can the Scottish Tiger follow?" is the eye-catching brochure being distributed by Dennis McGuinness, one of Scotland's best known stockbrokers, who last July opened the first overseas office in Glasgow of Dublin-based Dolmen Butler Briscoe.
Dolmen Butler Briscoe established its first "overseas" office in Glasgow as a springboard for expansion into Britain and continental Europe.
From his office in the same Buchanan Street building as the London Stock Exchange, McGuinness, a fast-talking Glaswegian, offers stockbroking, corporate finance and fund management. McGuinness, who owns the Jenny tearoom in the city's Royal Exchange Square, believes that the Irish link will open up a host of opportunities for trading with the rest of Europe, making a wider range of investments possible.
