Sligo Rovers manager Don O'Riordan survived being knocked down on Saturday morning before watching his young team convincingly beat Finn Harps 3-0.

O'Riordan was unhurt after being hit by a reversing van when out doing commercial work for the club. Having been checked out in hospital, he arrived at Finn Park to see his newly-built side hit three goals in the last five minutes.

Harps paid dearly for some awful defending as Paul McTiernan scored on 84 and 86 minutes before 16-year-old substitute Andrew McLoughlin added the third in injury time.

In a night of shocks, Kilkenny City striker Gavin Moore scored twice for the second week running, but this time both of them were at the right end, his second a last minute winner to beat Dublin City 3-2 at Buckley Park.

Mark Revins robbed Vikings' full-back Stephen Gifford and raced clear down the left to set up Moore who crashed the ball home from six yards for the opener on 32 minutes.

Graham Doyle headed Dublin City level from Tony Sheridan's corner a minute after the restart before Cathal O'Connor put John McDonnell's side in front from eight yards on 52 minutes.

Ben Whelan volleyed home Andy Brady's free-kick to equalise for Kilkenny on 72 minutes before Moore hit the winner in the final minute; shooting home from 12 yards after Darryl Mooney's shot deflected to him.

Jason Purcell earned a deserved point for Limerick with a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Athlone Town as they made their debut at Jackman Park yesterday.
