The German/Irish team which won last year had to give way to a team from Savannah in Georgia in this year's Jameson International Golf Challenge, held at Royal Dublin, Portmarnock and Pormarnock Links. The origins of the American team were evident in their surnames, however - Michael Halligan, Jeff Fitzpatrick, Anthony Cook and Greg King. Halligan was full of praise for the venues and said "we'll be back to defend our title".
