DIEGO MARADONA has revealed he would jump at the chance to manage a English Premier League club.
Maradona, who turns 50 today, captained Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986 and led his national side to the tournament in South Africa last summer.
Despite leading his country to the quarter-finals after a stuttering qualification campaign, his erratic coaching style, team selections and outbursts cost him his job.
Yesterday he admitted he would be interested in coming to England. He said: “Yes, I would like to manage in the Premier League. It has very good teams, an exceptional level and great players. The only problem is all the teams I like in England have good coaches.”
