Minor Football Ulster Quarter-finals/Armagh 0-14 Fermanagh 2-3: It will be an Armagh-Donegal double bill of minor and senior championship action in Clones on June 12th after the minor footballers of Armagh set up the first leg of the county's championship double when they beat Fermanagh in Clones yesterday.
Armagh wrapped up victory in this disappointing, low-key affair with a scoring surge that saw them hit 12 points without replay between the 18th minute of the first half and the 16th minute of the second.
Fermanagh were only in front once during the contest and that after 12 minutes when Liam Lynch scored their opening goal. John Mullarkey added a point to put Fermanagh four in front but they were unable to build on that initiative and Armagh gradually gained control.
Fermanagh were awarded a late penalty that was tucked away by John Carrigan. In the end, though, that goal only served to give more respectability to the final scoreline.
