Young Munster's worst start to an All-Ireland League season continues to be compounded by injury and unavailability ahead of Saturday's match against Blackrock - one of three re-fixed games.

Jason Hayes, Mick Lynch and Craig Doyle continue to play with injuries while Paul O'Connell is required by the Ireland A side for their match against New Zealand at Ravenhill Road on Tuesday.

Having lost their first four matches of the campaign, Young Munster face a Blackrock side which is equally depleted although captain and centre Michael Jackson hopes to start. Suffering from a rotator cuff (shoulder) injury, he has not yet led his team into an AIL match. Jackson replaces inside centre Andrew Grealy who is injured, while John Corry has been passed fit to play.

Ben Willis at scrumhalf is unavailable because of his involvement in Tuesday's match against New Zealand. The pack is unchanged.

Garryowen, who play Dungannon, will miss John Langford, who returned to Australia this week, although he will be back in Limerick in December.

Killian Keane, who scored three tries in the corresponding fixture last season, is available while there is some uncertainty over the participation of the contracted Paul Neville and the injured Dominic Crotty.

Other players on the treatment table are John Staunton, Jeremy's brother, who has a shoulder problem, Colin Varley (groin) and Shane McCarthy (hand).

The First Division Clubs Association, which met on November 6th, yesterday agreed to suspend further meetings until the IRFU provide further information on its plans for rugby at club level.

The association is seeking an IRFU vision for club rugby in Ireland over the next five years. Within this they wish to see a secure structure, sound methods of funding and a status which will ensure the stability of the game.

All present agreed that club rugby is currently in crisis both from a financial and playing point of view, and that this "drastic situation must be addressed immediately".

The consultancy firm Deloitte & Touche are currently carrying out a strategic review - to which the First Division Clubs Association has had an input - of all rugby for the IRFU. When the report is complete the association will then give a response.

Victor Costello is out of the Ireland A team to play New Zealand on Tuesday with a rib injury. His place at number eight goes to Ulster's Tony McWhirter, with Andy Ward called into the replacements.
