Barry Geraghty has made the most of his opportunities this season to lead the jump jockeys' table on the 26 winner mark and he will go into today's all-jumping card at Navan with some first class opportunities to add to that total.

Paul Carberry's return to fitness will cut down Geraghty's chances on Noel Meade-trained horses, for instance Fable in the opener today and Heist in the handicap chase.

However, Ruby Walsh's unfortunate injury sustained in the Czech Republic means more rides on Willie Mullins' strong team and the benefit of that can be illustrated with Balla Sola in the Virginia Hurdle.

Balla Sola ran second on the flat yesterday, but afterwards Mullins was keen to run the horse again and he is preferred to Golden Rule and the jumping newcomer, Alpha Blues, who has Group form in Germany and was fourth of five to Kayf Tara at Deauville during the summer.

Geraghty is also selected to take the maiden hurdle on Cambodian, who won on the flat last year off a mark of 95, but Carberry's return to championship contention can be emphasised with a double, courtesy of the aforementioned Fable and Heist.

Unbeaten in his two starts over flights, Fable's jumping has not been entirely convincing but it hasn't stopped him beating Eagle Legal at Roscommon and Second Nature by a distance at Tralee.

The best of the opposition today could be Lucky Cat, who ran third to the subsequent Gowran scorer, High Stakes, on his debut over jumps but an adequate round of jumping should see Fable home.

Heist ran only last Saturday in a two-mile flat race at the Curragh and made most of the running, only to be out-paced behind the easy winner, Tryphaena. That should have put him spot on for the chase and the Meade string look to be coming back to form after a rather flat spell.

Auditty was prominent for a long way behind Nicholls Cross at Gowran and can add to a Dundalk success in the Ballinlough Chase, while Native Titan, a warm evens favourite at Listowel only to lose his rider at the start, is a confident choice in the bumper.
