Connacht Colleges SFC St Muredach's 0-10 St Mary's 0-6St Muredach's, Ballina advanced to the semi-finals of the Connacht Colleges senior football championship after a dour struggle with Galway side St Mary's in Charlestown yesterday.
The winners meet St Jarlath's on Sunday while Rice College play St Colman's in the other semi-final, also on Sunday.
St Mary's, who had the strong wind during the opening half, led at the break 0-6 to 0-4, thanks mainly to Ronan O'Connell.
However, when Brian Rutledge levelled with a superb point in the 37th minute, St Mureach's took over and added four further points without reply.
