CORK ROUND-UP:JOHN Miskella suffered a freak hand injury while helping Ballincollig defeat Castlehaven 3-10 to 2-9 in their Cork senior football championship fourth-round replay in Bandon yesterday and could miss the quarter-final against St Finbarr's next weekend.

Miskella was kicked accidentally by one of his own players near the end and had to be replaced, but not before playing his part by kicking two points, the same as his Cork colleague, Patrick Kelly.

Donncha O’Connor’s nine-point haul for divisional side Duhallow still couldn’t prevent champions Clonakilty from qualifying to meet Nemo Rangers in the semi-final following their 1-10 to 0-12 success at Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday night.

All-Ireland final hero Aidan Walsh also impressed for the losers, but Seán Nagle’s 56th-minute goal for Clonakilty was crucial before Conor McManus landed the winner in injury-time.
