AMERICAN FOOTBALL:The Baltimore Ravens extended the illustrious career of Ray Lewis by routing the Indianapolis Colts 24-9 last night to set up a meeting with the Denver Broncos in the second round of the play-offs. Joe Flacco completed 12 of 23 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns for the Ravens. Rookie Colts Andrew Luck threw for 288 yards on 28 of 54 passing but Indianapolis had to settle for three field goals by Adam Vinatieri.
Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers eased past the Minnesota Vikings and into the second round of the play-offs with a 24-10 home victory on Saturday that sets up a mouthwatering clash with the San Francisco 49ers while the Houston Texans had a 19-13 play-off win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
