Dinamo Kiev's Andriy Shevchenko scored a first-half hat-trick against Barcelona at the Nou Camp last night. Shevchenko struck after 10 and 33 minutes before a penalty a minute before half-time gave the Ukranian champions a 3-0 interval lead.
Spanish international defender Sergi was then sent off a minute into the second-half for two bookable offences and Barcelona's nightmare night was complete when Serguei Rebrov scored 15 minutes from time to seal a 4-0 win. It was the Spanish club's heaviest defeat for 17 years.

Paris St Germain gained revenge on group E leaders Bayern Munich when they beat the Germans 3-1 at the Parc des Princes. The French, who lost 5-1 in Germany earlier in the competition, ended Bayern's 100 per cent record. IFK Gothenburg won their first game in four attempts when they beat Besiktas 2-1 in Sweden.
Monaco remain top of group F after a 1-0 victory at rock-bottom Lierse SK in Belgium. Victor Ikpeba Nosa scored 16 minutes from time to seal the win. Emerson grabbed two goals as Bayer Leverkusen beat Sporting Lisbon 4-1 to remain second behind Monaco.
