Gerhard Berger returned after a three-race absence yesterday to reveal that he could quit Formula One at the end of the season. The Austrian said he would definitely not be with Benetton next year and would decide in the next few races whether to carry on with another team.
Berger, 38 next month, has missed the last three races following a sinus operation and the death of his father Johann in a plane crash.
"I am definitely not going to drive for Benetton next year," said Berger,
Formula One's most experienced driver with 202 races.
