Nathan Blake has been recalled from the international wilderness to lead Wales' attack against Turkey today.
The Bolton striker, who has never played at World Cup level, was plunged into a row with boss Bobby Gould last season over alleged racist remarks made by the manager.
But he is now back in the fold and rewarded with his big chance against Turkey in Istanbul. The 25-year-old will partner Dean Saunders - who will be back on the Galatasaray ground where he was such a big hit a couple of years ago and Mark Hughes will be used in a midfield while Ryan Giggs will be used on the left as a wing-back.
Gould also gives Wimbledon's new signing Ceri Hughes his debut as a World Cup player while Leicester's new signing Robbie Savage also makes his full debut at World Cup level, having played once as substitute in June 1996 in the 5-0 win at San Marino.
Gary Speed will captain the side from sweeper while Neville Southall wins his 93rd cap.
