Cork took the lead in the 34th minute when Cillian Lordan's corner found the unmarked Graham Cummins and he headed home from close range for his eighth goal of the season.
But the visitors were back on level terms two minutes before the interval when Darren Meade latched on to a short back-pass from Cork defender Dave Rogers to score. The sides will replay at the Carlisle Grounds, Bray, on Tuesday night.
