The First Division champions arrive back in the Premiership determined to avoid the humiliation of two years ago when they crumbled under the pressure in the spring.
There are several question marks about the ability of the current team but if John McGinlay and Nathan Blake (pictured) can show themselves to be capable of coping at this level then they have a better than even chance of staying up. Peter Beardsley would have been a useful addition behind the front two but the arrival of his former team-mate, Robbie Elliott, from Newcastle, looks to be a good signing, while Alan Thompson's form last season and Per Frandsen's performances in midfield will also be important.
