Digest: EUROPEAN CHALLENGE CUP:Connacht coach Michael Bradley said his side still face a big battle if they are to complete their recovery job and nail down a quarter-final spot in the European Challenge Cup.
Connacht meet Brive at the Sportsground in a winner-take-all clash on Friday evening but Bradley is determined they do not take their eye off the ball.
Newcastle's win in Brive, along with Connacht's 60-0 mauling of Cetransa El Salvador, have set up the nail-biter. "Brive beat us when we played them in France and that left us having a lot of ground to make up in the pool. Thankfully, we are now in this position but there is still a big battle to face before we can go through," said Bradley.
SIX NATIONS:Scott Murray was among four players called into Scotland training session yesterday after injuries struck head coach Frank Hadden's preparations for the Six Nations campaign.
The record cap holder was missing from the 35-man squad when it was announced last week but the reprieve gives the Montauban lock hope of adding to his 87 appearances.
Three other forwards were added to the Murrayfield training session - Edinburgh prop Craig Smith, Llanelli's Bruce Douglas and Glasgow hooker Dougie Hall.
The quartet replaced four injured players - Euan Murray (calf), Jim Hamilton (ankle), Dave Callam (shoulder/neck) and Kelly Brown (shoulder).
