Pat Devlin's Bray Wanderers denied Cork City a fifth successive home win when they scored an injury-time equaliser at Turner's Cross yesterday.

Bray's Paul Keegan scored a 91st minute equalising goal to earn Bray a share of the points as this Eircom League fixture ended in controversy. Bray's equalising goal stemmed from a free-kick that should have gone Cork's way and to compound matters, Keegan looked to be offside when he headed home a deflected shot from Wesley Charles in added time.

Bray took an unexpected lead after just 15 minutes when City keeper Michael Devine fumbled the ball outside the box, allowing Colm Tresson to win possession and shoot into an empty net.

The sides were level after 58 minutes. A quick throw-in by Colin Patrick O'Brien found Ollie Cahill and when he jinked past Matt Britton, he scored with a slide rule pass past debutant goalkeeper Matt Gregg, who signed for Bray from Crystal Palace last week. Five minutes later, Cork were ahead when Noel Hartigan headed home Anthony Buckley's cross for his first goal of the season. Pat Devlin's side snatched a dramatic point with Keegan's 91st minute equaliser. A total of eight players were booked and Buckley was sent off, all despite the fact that there was hardly a bad or malicious tackle in the match.
