An interested spectator at the recent All-Ireland Gaelic football final between Galway and Meath at Croke Park was the former All Black legend Zinzan Brooke. The former New Zealand number eight is no stranger to football having dabbled a little in New Zealand with his brother, former All Black second row Robin. His observation having seen Meath, hotly fancied, lose and the same fate befall Ireland at Murrayfield: "The Irish prefer to be underdogs. They were favourites at Murrayfield and they got tanked. In the other match Meath were the overwhelming favourites and lost."
