TEAM NEWS: EOIN CADOGAN will be busy this weekend

TEAM NEWS:EOIN CADOGAN will be busy this weekend. Selected to line out with the Cork footballers in tomorrow evening's Division One clash with Dublin, the dual player is also listed in the first 15 of the county hurling panel for Sunday's match in Waterford.

The hurling selection also features Séan Óg Ó Ailpín at left corner back, where he made his championship debut 14 years ago, in his first start of the season.

Manager Denis Walsh rotates seven places in the team to the team that defeated All-Ireland champions Kilkenny last week.

In goal, Donal Óg Cusack is rested, with Anthony Nash taking over. Ó hAilpín replaces Shane Murphy. Elsewhere, there are starts for Kevin Hartnett, Michael Walsh, Cian McCarthy, Michael Cussen and Paudie O’Sullivan instead of Tom Kenny, Ronan Curran, Mark O’Sullivan, Aisake Ó hAilpín and Pat Horgan.

The player to drop out is Paudie Kissane, one of four changes Conor Counihan makes to the side that lost in Omagh. Meanwhile, Tyrone assistant manager Tony Donnelly yesterday denied reports Enda McGinley has left the panel, saying the former All Star was taking a break to try to recover from persistent injuries.

“It’s only a temporary thing. He has had a few niggling injuries, and he was contemplating maybe missing out on the first part of the league,” said Donnelly.

Team manager Mickey Harte has made five changes for the league clash with Galway at Pearse Stadium. John Devine makes his first appearance of the season in goal, where he replaces Johnny Curran. Also back for the first time this year is experienced defender Ciarán Gourley, in at corner back for Cathal McCarron.
