Dromore 1-10 Mayobridge 0-13:Mayobridge midfielder John Caldwell emerged as the hero at Healy Park, where he fisted over a stoppage-time equaliser to deny Ulster Club newcomers and Tyrone champions, Dromore.

The sides will meet again at Newry next Sunday to decide who meets All-Ireland champions Crossmaglen in the provincial semi-final.

Teenager Ronan McNabb hit a Dromore goal after just two minutes, and Colm McCullagh brought his tally to four, but the Mourne men stayed in touch with points from midfielder John Caldwell and full forward Cathal Magee.

Eoin McCusker and Noel Sexton traded points in the latter moments of the half, and the Tyrone men turned around with a 1-6 to 0-6 advantage.

Mayobridge came out for the second half fired up for a mighty challenge, and Benny Coulter had the ball over the bar within 15 seconds of the restart.

But despite a period of intense pressure, they were unable to add to that early boost, with Seán McDonnell and Ryan McMenamin performing heroics at the back for Dromore.

Michael Walsh narrowed the gap to two points with a free, and with skipper Brendan Grant getting to grips with full forward Barry Collins, Gavin Barry getting through an immense amount of work, and Shane O'Hare defending solidly, Dromore struggled to create scoring opportunities.

Luckily for them, they had an expert long-range place-kicker in wing-back Seán O'Neill, who sent his side into the final quarter with a four points cushion.

It was at this stage that Mayobridge's vast experience began to kick in, with Michael Walsh, Ronan Sexton and Coulter all making telling contributions.

A minute from the end, Walsh stroked over a free to bring the sides level, but when Ryan McMenamin's shot was deflected for a '45' in injury time, O'Neill drilled the kick between the posts for what looked certain to be the winner.

Moments later, however, he was sent off for a second bookable offence, and a further twist saw substitute Conor Garvey send Caldwell in for a fisted equaliser to earn Mayobridge a replay.
