Cape Verdi continued her build-up towards a possible crack at the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood with a piece of light work at Newmarket yesterday morning.

Godolphin's impressive five-length winner of the Sagitta 1,000 Guineas on the Rowley Mile was pencilled in for the Group One mile contest in 13 days' time after finishing a disappointing ninth to High-Rise when 11 to 4 favourite to beat the colts in the Vodafone Derby.

Connections expect to make a decision next week about her participation in the Goodwood race.
