WILL CARLING has made an apparent u-turn on his decision to retire from international rugby.
Carling, who has made himself unavailable for this summer's Lions tour to South Africa, had indicated that yesterday's Triple Crown match against Wales would be his last for England.
But, after winning his 72nd cap at Cardiff Arms Park, Carling has now put himself back in the international picture.
"I'm a long way from retiring from international rugby - don't rule me out of another trip to Cardiff Arms Park when it is rebuilt," he said in his column in yesterdays's Mail on Sunday.
During the build-up last week to Cardiff, everyone seemed to be assuming that it would be my last game, but that is by no means certain," added the 31-year-old, who captained his country 59 times, winning three Grand Slams and reaching a World Cup final.
"Assuming that the selectors still want me, then England may not have seen the last of me."
