The first goal came after 13 minutes which contributed to a 1-4 to 1-3 half-time lead. Wayne O'Gorman hit Wicklow's goal in the 18th minute. Carlow's second goal came four minutes after the resumption from Murphy as Kehoe forced his second goal in the 21st minute of the half having followed in a Pat Coady delivery.
