St Colman's, Fermoy ... 4-14 Thurles CBS ... 0-13 Champions St Colman's, Fermoy, endured a bruising battle with Thurles CBS in Ardfinnan yesterday before booking their place in the Dr Harty Cup semi-final.

Fergus Browne was the hat-trick hero with two goals in the opening quarter. St Colman's led by 2-7 to 0-8 at the break.

Thurles's Thomas King and St Colmans's Padraig Hyland were sent off in the second half. King's loss in the 39th minute was to make the bigger impact as Thurles trailed by only three points at the time.
