All-Ireland camogie champions Tipperary will assemble this Sunday to face a Rest of Ireland side at O'Connor Park in Nenagh in an intriguing new challenge match organised by the camogie association and Whirlpool Ireland.
The Tipperary team which made the long awaited breakthrough to win last September's final over Kilkenny by a single point will be captained by Meadhbh Stokes of Cashel.
The Rest of Ireland side was selected by Therese O'Callaghan, a former All-Ireland winner with Cork, along with Brigid Broderick and Sheila Wallace of the camogie association. The team will be managed by Tom Monaghan and captained by Gillian Maher of Kilkenny.
