"Tommo, Tommo where are you now?"

- the Cheltenham crowd to Channel 4 commentator Derek Thompson after Top Cees won the Coral Cup. Thompson gave evidence in a recent court case involving Lynda Ramsden, the horse's trainer, and her husband Jack, a well-known punter. It was suggested that the Ramsdens had conspired with jockey Kieran Fallon to stop Top Cees in a race at Newmarket. The Ramsdens and Fallon were awarded £195,000 damages against the Sporting Life in the High Court three weeks ago plus costs. It was no surprise that the Ramsdens were not asked for an interview by Channel 4 after Top Cee's win.
