Clarenbridge made a great second-half recovery to clinch a place in the Galway final for the first time when they had a three-point win over Abbey-Duniry in the semi-final replay at Ballinasloe yesterday. In poor conditions, this duel never rose to the high standard set in the drawn game.
At half-time the sides were level, at 0-6 each, and even though they were level again 11 minutes into the second half, Clarenbridge pulled ahead with four unanswered points.
Scorers: Clarenbridge - K Donoghue, D Coen 0-3 each; M Kearins 0-2; J Cannon, B Carr, A Kearins 0-1 each. Abbey-Duniry - M Kenny 0-7, G Lynch 0-1.
