An impressive Clifden ran in nine tries in this second-round tie at Galway yesterday. The victors face Gort CS in the quarter-finals. Clifden led 7-0 after just three minutes with a try from scrumhalf Kevin Clancy converted by outhalf Paddy O'Toole, while centre Donal Nee (two), second row Eamonn Carey and prop Glen Mullen all scored converted tries to estab lish a 35-0 interval lead.
Clifden finished the job with tries from centre Michael Aspell hooker Gary Conneely, Nee and O'Toole.
