Ireland coach Warren Gatland will not be taking action against prop Peter Clohessy for his stamping on Australia winger Ben Tune.
"I've had a bit of a chat to him, but that's about it," said Gatland, about the incident in Brisbane.
Clohessy also niggled Wallaby scrum-half George Gregan throughout the game and was yellow-carded by South African referee Andre Watson for holding Gregan while in an off-side position.
Tune has been ruled out of Saturday's second Test at Perth's Subiaco Oval with shoulder and knee problems and is likely to be replaced by experienced Queenslander Jason Little, a natural centre but who performed brilliantly on the wing for Australia against the All Blacks last season in Chistchurch. Gatland said Clohessy had been as unhappy as the rest of his team about Ireland's overall lack of discipline after holding the Australians to a 10-point half-time lead before the second half romp which resulted in the 46-10 thrashing.
But, he added that Ireland were earning an undeserved reputation for rough tactics. "You've only got to look at the video to see that Australia were also guilty of a number of incidents."
The only definite Irish nonstarter for Saturday's second Test is full back Conor O'Shea.
