COBH RAMBLERS and English visitors Old ham Athletic played out a goalless draw in their preseason friendly at Cobb yesterday. It took two fine saves by Cobb's Michael Devine to deny Richard Graham and Martin Pemberton first half coals.

Oldham brought on internationals Gunnar Halle (Norway) and Toddy Orlygsson (Iceland) for the second hall, but were unable to come up with a match-winning goal as they ended their short Irish tour. Cobh's newcomers, Paul Ramsey and Tommy Butler, played well in midfield, but centre-forward Paul Culpin had a subdued home debut.
