Liam Murphy doesn't doubt his ability to bring on young talent and it is presumably a measure of his faith in his youngsters that a couple of experienced players have been allowed to move on without any high profiled buys being made.
There is optimism Stephen O'Flynn might bring the goals that have been lacking over the past couple of seasons, after which "playing to Cork's strengths", worked so well late on last season. It may well yield another place in Europe even if the title looks beyond them.
