Two goals from Cork's James Egan and Con Brosnan had their side in front by 2-4 to 0-3.

However, Clare scored six points to Cork's one inside the next 10 minutes.

The vital goal for Clare came after 32 minutes when Gareth McPhillips had a goal from a penalty. He also contributed six other points.
