Richard Coughlan is looking forward to two trips - one long, the other short - after missing the cut in yesterday's Buick Open in Michigan.
The "mentally exhausted" Irish golfer is homeward bound, but no doubt also looking forward to being present at Croke Park to lend his support to his beloved Offaly in their All-Ireland semi-final showdown with Clare.
Coughlan's Michigan appearance, where he posted rounds of 71 and 73 for a par total, was his 20th on tour this year. He is now looking forward to a week's break and will return to America next weekend to contest the closing two rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, which was postponed in February after just one round.
Keith Nolan, Ireland's other player competing in Michigan, finished with a two over par 74 to drop back to five over and missed the cut by six shots.
American Brandel Chamblee extended his first round share of the lead, adding a four-under-par 68, to move to 11 under for the event, one ahead of compatriot Kent Jones.
Defending champion Vijay Singh was in fourth place at eight-under-par, while the world number one, Tiger Woods, picked up five shots midway through his round to finish four under par.
