Would it be tempting fate too much to suggest Jesper Parnevik's game is tailor-made for the Barseback course, near Malmo, where this week's Volvo Scandinavian Masters takes place?
The Swede could certainly do with some therapy after his British Open experience, and what better medicine than a win on the same course where he romped to victory in 1995. Parnevik and the man who finished joint runner-up at Troon, our own Darren Clarke, is priced at attractive enough odds of 10 to 1. And, assuming the volcanic dust and revolving fruit have aided his recovery from the trauma of two Sundays ago, Parnevik could be the man.
