A lot of money has been spent over the past few years at Highfield Road but on the last day of last season they were still relying on favours from elsewhere in order to stay up and Gordon Strachan will be hoping to introduce a little more security during his first full season at the helm.
He appears to have done well in the transfer market over the summer months but his team's fortunes are still likely to rest on the ability of Gary ("I'm coming here to win trophies") McAllister to pull the strings in midfield and Darren Huckerby's (pictured) eye for goal up front.
