Struggling Finn Harps were denied a much needed victory in Ballybofey last night when Bohemians' striker Glen Crowe rewarded a fine display by his goalkeeper Wayne Russell to nick a point for the visitors.
Russell turned in a magnificent second half performance to deny Harps time and time again, and his heroics paid off when Crowe chipped Gareth Downey for the equaliser in the 65th minute.
Before that, it had been all Harps and after Kevin McHugh missed a great chance in the 30th minute, they finally broke the deadlock eight minutes before the break. New striker James Marrow got the goal when he headed a flick from McHugh into the top corner from six yards past the stranded Bohemians goalkeeper.
Russell, however, denied him a second goal with a point-blank save in the 49th minute and again saved from McGrenaghan in the 58th.
Once level, though, Bohemians might have taken the lead in the 79th minute, but although Crowe went around the goalkeeper, he could only steer his shot into the side netting.
There were chances for both sides in a dramatic end-to-end finish to the match, the best coming in the 85th minute, when Russell again saved from McHugh.
Harps came close in the dying minutes through Harkin, Dodds and McGrenaghan, while Bohemians forced five corners in a row as they pressed for a win.
